MIYAZAKI FARM

This farm in Miyazaki is not just any ordinary farm, it’s the heartland of Ozaki beef, a name that resonates with quality and dedication in the Japanese beef industry. Owned and meticulously managed by Mr. Muneharu Ozaki, this farm stands out in the Japanese Wagyu landscape for its unique approach and personal touch. Mr. Ozaki, distinct in his philosophy, is the only farmer in Japan to brand his beef with his own name, an emblem of pride and quality.

Ozaki beef is the epitome of Mr. Ozaki's lifelong commitment and passion. Witnessing the mass production methods abroad, where cattle are rapidly fattened and prematurely shipped, he felt a disconnect. This experience crystallized his vision to produce a different kind of premium beef. He embraced the challenge, starting with just 100 cattle on his farm – a journey that would span over three decades to perfect the flavor.

The distinctiveness of Ozaki beef is not only in its name but in its nurturing. The feed, meticulously mixed twice a day in a labor-intensive two-hour process, includes 15 different kinds of feed such as fresh grass, moist barley mash (a sustainable by-product of beer brewing), maize, and barley.

The cattle are more than livestock – they are carriers of tradition and quality, ensuring that every piece of Ozaki beef holds the essence of Miyazaki and the spirit of Mr. Muneharu Ozaki.
