Ingredients:

  • 2 Wagyu steaks, about 8 oz each
  • 4 tbsp of white miso paste
  • 2 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp of mirin
  • 1 tbsp of sake
  • 1 tbsp of sugar

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix together the miso paste, soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar to create the marinade.
  2. Place the steaks in a dish and cover with the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight.
  3. Heat a grill or a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steaks from the marinade and wipe off any excess.
  4. Cook the steaks to your preferred level of doneness, allowing them to rest for a few minutes before serving.
  5. Serve the steaks with steamed rice and your choice of vegetables. Enjoy the rich, umami flavor.
